The Diploma in Theology provides a structured and accessible pathway into the academic study of Scripture and Christian doctrine. It is founded on the conviction that effective Christian ministry requires both spiritual maturity and a disciplined understanding of the biblical and theological foundations of the faith.

Students are introduced to the major areas of theological study, including biblical interpretation, Christian doctrine, Church history, ethics and ministry. The curriculum helps learners understand how the different theological disciplines relate to one another and how they contribute to faithful Christian thought, worship and service.

Particular emphasis is placed on responsible engagement with Scripture. Students learn to approach biblical texts with care, recognize their literary and historical contexts and apply sound principles of interpretation. They also examine the central doctrines of Christianity and develop the ability to explain these teachings clearly and accurately.

The programme connects academic learning with practical ministry. Students are encouraged to reflect on how theological knowledge informs preaching, teaching, discipleship, pastoral support, evangelism and participation in the life of the local church. The Diploma in Theology is designed for applicants who hold a secondary school qualification or recognized equivalent and who demonstrate Christian commitment, good character and readiness for theological study. Applicants are also expected to provide a recommendation from a church or ministry leader and submit a personal statement outlining their motivation and ministry interests.

Upon successful completion, graduates will possess a broad foundation in biblical and theological studies. They may serve in supportive ministry roles within churches and Christian organisations or progress to a bachelor’s degree in theology, divinity, ministry or a related field.
