About This Program

Program Description

The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Communication (Evangelism) prepares students to communicate the Christian faith with biblical integrity, clarity, creativity and cultural awareness.

The programme combines theological education with communication theory and practical media training. Students gain a strong foundation in Christian worldview, biblical studies, doctrine, evangelism, ministry and biblical interpretation before progressing to advanced communication and media studies.

Students examine the biblical and theological foundations of evangelism and Christian communication. They learn to explain the gospel clearly, respond to questions thoughtfully and adapt their communication to different audiences without compromising the Christian message.

Christian Communication and Media introduces students to communication models, audience awareness, message development and the role of media within the Church and society. Students explore how language, images, stories and digital platforms influence beliefs, attitudes and behaviour.

Digital Ministry and New Media develops competence in social media, websites, video, podcasts, livestreaming, mobile communication and online communities. Students learn to plan, create and evaluate digital content for evangelism, discipleship and public engagement.

Homiletics strengthens preaching, speech preparation and oral communication. Christian Apologetics develops the ability to present reasoned explanations of the Christian faith and engage respectfully with questions, objections and alternative worldviews.

Cross-Cultural Communication and Missiology prepare students to communicate across cultural, linguistic and social differences. Students examine contextualisation, global mission, religious diversity and culturally responsible Christian witness.

The programme also develops practical skills in writing, storytelling, public relations, visual communication, campaign planning and media production. Students learn to design integrated evangelistic strategies using appropriate messages, platforms, schedules and evaluation measures.

Christian ethics, pastoral care and contemporary society help students address privacy, consent, copyright, misinformation, safeguarding, public accountability and the responsible use of influence. The programme rejects manipulative, misleading or coercive communication practices.

Supervised Field Education I and II provide opportunities to apply learning in approved churches, ministries, media organisations or community settings. Students gain practical experience while receiving structured supervision and feedback.

Research Methods in Theology prepares students to complete the 20-credit degree thesis. The thesis requires independent investigation of a significant issue in Christian communication, evangelism, digital ministry, media practice, apologetics or public engagement.

Graduates are prepared for Christian media, church communications, evangelism, digital ministry, public relations, content development and progression to postgraduate study.
