Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Educational Administration prepares students to govern, manage and develop Christian educational institutions with professional competence, strategic insight and Christian integrity.
The programme recognises that effective Christian education requires more than sound classroom teaching. It also requires capable administrators who can develop policy, manage people and finances, lead institutional change, maintain academic standards and create environments in which students, teachers and communities can flourish.
Students develop a strong foundation in Christian worldview, biblical studies, theology, ethics, church history and spiritual formation. These studies enable them to approach educational leadership from a coherent Christian perspective and to make administrative decisions informed by biblical values, moral responsibility and a commitment to service.
Professional studies in educational administration introduce students to institutional planning, educational leadership, curriculum development, assessment, policy, governance, quality assurance, human resource management, educational technology and organisational leadership. Students also examine financial management, stewardship, resource development and the operational principles required to sustain Christian educational institutions.
The programme develops the ability to analyse institutional challenges, design appropriate policies, manage organisational resources and lead teams through periods of growth and change. Courses in critical thinking, research methods and contemporary society strengthen students’ analytical, communication and decision-making abilities.
Supervised field education enables students to apply their knowledge in approved schools, churches, ministries or educational organisations. The programme culminates in a 20-credit degree thesis through which each student conducts substantial independent research into an issue related to Christian educational administration, leadership, governance, policy or institutional development.
Graduates are prepared for administrative and leadership responsibilities in faith-based educational institutions, churches, ministries, non-governmental organisations and community education programmes. The degree also provides a foundation for postgraduate study in educational administration, educational leadership, Christian education, theology or a related discipline.
