About This Program

Program Description

The Certificate in Biblical and Mission Studies provides an accessible and academically structured introduction to the study of the Bible and the missionary calling of the Church. The programme is founded on the conviction that Christian mission begins with a clear understanding of Scripture and is expressed through faithful witness, compassionate service and culturally sensitive communication.

Students explore the biblical foundations of mission, the role of the Church in God’s redemptive purpose and the practical responsibilities of Christians serving within local and cross cultural contexts. The curriculum introduces learners to essential biblical themes, Christian discipleship, evangelism, mission practice and the communication of the gospel across social and cultural boundaries.

The programme places particular emphasis on preparing students for practical participation in ministry. Learners are encouraged to connect theological understanding with the realities of church life, community engagement and missionary service. Through guided study, reflection and applied learning, students develop the ability to explain the biblical basis of mission, communicate Christian truth clearly and contribute responsibly to the ministry and outreach activities of a local church.

The Certificate in Biblical and Mission Studies is designed for students who may not yet possess formal theological qualifications but demonstrate Christian commitment, basic literacy and a genuine interest in ministry. Applicants are expected to provide a recommendation from a church or ministry leader and submit a short personal statement outlining their ministry interests and motivation for study.

Upon successful completion, graduates will be equipped to serve more effectively as church workers, evangelism volunteers, mission assistants and lay ministry leaders. The programme may also provide a valuable foundation for progression into diploma or undergraduate studies in missiology, theology, divinity or related areas of Christian ministry.
