About This Program
Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Church Financial Management and Administration develops professionally competent and ethically grounded financial administrators for churches, ministries and faith-based institutions.
The programme recognises that effective ministry requires transparent financial systems, responsible resource management, sound administration and leaders who understand both professional standards and biblical principles of stewardship. Students therefore receive interdisciplinary preparation in church financial management, resource development, business administration, leadership, Christian ethics, theology and ministry.
Through the study of budgeting, financial reporting, accounting controls, governance, organisational leadership and resource development, students learn to manage church finances accurately and responsibly. The programme also examines the theological foundations of stewardship, accountability, generosity and institutional integrity.
Supervised field education enables students to apply their knowledge in authentic church or ministry environments. Specialisation electives allow students to develop further expertise in church accounting, stewardship development, financial governance, ministry entrepreneurship or nonprofit financial administration.
The programme culminates in a 20-credit degree thesis through which students investigate a significant issue in church finance, administration, stewardship, accountability or Christian organisational management. Graduates are prepared for professional and ministry leadership roles or progression to relevant master’s-level study.
